Custom Log Sawing
Big Red Sawmill uses a Timber King band-saw to mill logs of any size up to 34′ in length and 36″ in diameter. Computer controlled precision cutting ensures exact thickness and consistency of each board produced. Big Red Sawmill has the expertise to assist you in determining the right thickness and measurements for your specific needs.
Custom Log Sawing – $150/hr. or approximately 75 cents/bd. ft. – minimum $75
Custom Kiln Drying
Big Red Sawmill can provide custom kiln drying via our 3000 sq. ft. forced air drying facility. Care and expertise go into each phase of the drying process to ensure best practices, time allotment, temperatures and attention to board-specific drying needs.
Custom Kiln Drying – $1.20/bd. ft. for 1″ thick boards – $2.40/bd.ft. for 2″ thick boards
Custom Planing
We can perform custom planing services on boards of any length, up to 36″ wide and 6″ thick.
Custom Planing – $225/hr – minimum $60 – planing epoxy will add $10/bag
Custom Firewood Processing
Big Red Sawmill can perform custom firewood processing on your site. We bring the equipment and expertise to efficiently cut and split your logs at your convenience.
Custom Firewood Processing – $120/hr from tear down to set back up at home
